It reflects how sure we are the address is real - a high score means it was directly confirmed, a mid score means the domain accepts mail broadly (so we can't be fully certain), and a low score means we genuinely couldn't tell either way.
A Valid result means the specific mailbox was genuinely, directly confirmed to exist - not inferred from a pattern. It's the highest confidence tier we show.
Invalid means a specific address was checked and confirmed not to work. Not Found means no address could be confirmed at all - there was nothing to reject.
It depends on the list, but most of it moves fast - the file keeps processing in the background even if you close the tab, and a live counter on the status page shows confirmed emails as they come in so you can watch it work.
